World Environment Day 2021

On world environment day Bhaikaka University organizes webinars and conducts tree plantation drives.

Bhaikaka University, Karamsad has organized a series of webinars for students and employees on world environment day, 2021 with the purpose of raising awareness about issues impacting the environment. Three days webinar series were arranged from June 2, 2021, to June 4, 2021. The key speakers were Dr. K. C. Dalal, Mr. Mehul Patel, Educator & Coordinator - at Vidyanagar Nature Club, Mr. Dhaval Patel Managing Trustee - of Vidyanagar Nature Club who emphasized domestic water conservation, Plastic and Environmental Pollution, and the Importance of the Environment.

Dr. Utpala Kharod, Provost-Bhaikaka University said, World Environment Day is celebrated on June 5 every year to remind people about the importance of nature. It is celebrated across the globe to tell people that nature should not be taken for granted and must be respected for its values.

The personnel and Administrative Department of the University commemorated the day by planting 50 trees in the backyard. The chief guest Rekhaben Seth, Regional officer, of Gujarat Pollution Control Board, Shri Parmar, Officer, Forest Department, Dean PSMC Dr. Himanshu Pandya, and Head P&A Shri Kartik Pandya planted a variety of saplings.
