Waymade Institute of Nursing Sciences and Shri G.H. Patel School of Nursing hosted National Level Training Program for the National Nursing Faculty, IAPC on November 1st and 2nd, 2025. The program, titled “Sharpening Your Skills,” aimed to enhance the competencies of national faculty, IAPC in the field of palliative care.The program commenced with an inaugural session graced by eminent dignitaries. Dr. Geeta Joshi, President of IAPC, delivered an inspiring opening address, setting the tone for the training. This was followed by an insightful overview on Training of Trainers by Col. Yashvant Joshi, Vice President, IAPC, who emphasized the critical role of educators in advancing compassionate care practices across the nation.
Throughout the program, renowned experts from across India — including Dr. Asha Shetty, Ms. Alice Stella, Mr. Terrymize ,Mr. Sachin Dwivedi, and Ms. Hanife MacGamwell — conducted engaging sessions that combined academic rigor with real-life experiences from the field of palliative care. Their contributions enriched the participants’ understanding of empathy-driven, patient-centered approaches to care.
The two-day event provided an exceptional platform for knowledge exchange, skill enhancement, and fostering empathy-driven nursing education.
