PSMC Alumni of 2000 Batch Reunite for Silver Jubilee Celebration

The MBBS Class of 2000 of Pramukhswami Medical College (PSMC) celebrated  its Silver Jubilee reunion on Saturday, December 6, 2025 with a large gathering of alumni at the college campus.

The event was organized by the Pramukhswami Medical College Alumni Association (PAA) with support from Bhaikaka University. A total of 84 out of 100 batchmates attended the reunion, marking 25 years since their graduation

 

The reunion was conducted under the leadership of Dr. Abhay Dharamsi, Provost of Bhaikaka University. Dr. Manisha Gohel, Vice President of PAA, played a key role in coordinating the event. Dr. Dipen Patel, an alumnus of the 2000 batch, served as the chief coordinator and acted as a liaison between the alumni and the university administration.

 

It was  supported by a dedicated organizing committee comprising Dr. Ashvin Patel, Dr. Kalpesh Panchal, Dr. Maksud Shaikh, Dr. Parind Mevada, Dr. Tejas Prajapati, Dr. Nirali Patel, Dr. Lipy Shukla, Dr. Dipali Patel, Dr. Asma Shaikh, Dr. Aleem Adatia, Dr. Ritesh Patel, Dr. Hitesh Vaishnav, Dr. Amar Pandya, Dr. Rushi Panchal, and Dr. Parag Talavia, whose collective efforts ensured the event’s success.

Among the attendees, eight alumni traveled from overseas, including from the United States, Africa, Canada, and Australia, to participate in the reunion. During the programme, they shared professional experiences from their respective countries.

The reunion was inaugurated by Shri Atul Patel, Chairman of Charutar Arogya Mandal. Other dignitaries present included Shri Amit Patel, (Secretary, Charutar Arogya Mandal); Dr. Abhay Dharamsi (Provost, Bhaikaka University); Dr. Jyoti Tiwari (Registrar, Bhaikaka University); Dr. Swapnil Agarwal (Dean, Pramukhswami Medical College); Dr. Jitesh Desai (Medical Superintendent, Shree Krishna Hospital); Dr. Chirayu Choksi (President, PAA); and other office-bearers of the Alumni Association.

A key segment of the programme was held in the main lecture hall, where alumni assembled at their former seating areas. Dr. Nimesh Patel presented an overview of the activities of the Alumni Association. The batch also felicitated 35 former faculty members, several of whom currently hold senior academic and administrative positions.

Beyond the formal programme, alumni interacted informally, shared personal and professional updates, recalled their college days, and participated in a group photograph.

The alumni have assured that they will come forward with specific commitments in the near future.
