KM Patel Institute of Physiotherapy organizes Physio Pulse, an annual theme-based event

The K.M. Patel Institute of Physiotherapy, a constituent of Bhaikaka University, is organizing a week-long annual programme, "Physio Pulse," from the 17th to the 21st of April 2023. The core theme of the programme is "ABILITY BEYOND DISABILITY" and the theme for the year is "Inclusion".
 
The eventful opening of the week-long programme was initiated with an inclusive dance performance by the students of KMPIP and Gurukrupa Special School.
 
The programme was declared open by Dr. Utpala Kharod (Provost, Bhaikaka University), in the presence of Dr. Harish Desai (Registrar, Bhaikaka University), Dr. Jyoti Tiwari (Academic Controller, Bhaikaka University) Dr. Himanshu Pandya (Dean, Pramukhswami Medical College), Dr. R. Harihara Prakash (Principal, K.M.Patel Institute of Physiotherapy), Shri Shailesh Panchal (Principal, Institute of Nursing Sciences), Dr. Sulabhsinh Solanki (Principal, CAM Institute of Allied Health Sciences & Technology), and students of Gurukrupa Special School were also present.
 
During the inaugural function, Dr. R. Harihara Prakash emphasized the motive of the programme, as it is meant to empower individuals, irrespective of their ability, to live a life of independence and dignity and thrive in their communities. He further added that the hospital also runs a special club called "Tatrasham" to engage and expose participants to daily activities and to provide not just some basic knowledge of reading, writing, calculating, etc. but also how to set life goals and work to achieve them.
 
On the first day, the faculties and students of the physiotherapy college conducted the screening (Fit Feet) of people with special abilities.
 
Food stalls were set up in the garden of Pramukhswami Medical College. The students of the physiotherapy college presented delicious, mouth-watering recipes.
The week-long programme will include a cycle rally, a Special Olympics, Bocce, an alumni meet, a cultural evening, etc.
