Karamsad Emergency Medicine Conference - KEMCON2026

On March 27–28, 2026,KEMCON, the first state-level Emergency Medicine conference, was held at Bhaikaka University, Karamsad. The event included pre-conference workshops on March 27 focusing on hands-on training in Point-of-Care Ultrasound (POCUS) and emergency procedures using human cadavers and mannequins, making it a unique learning experience. Workshop topics covered knobology, bedside POCUS including e Fast, airway and ocular scans, basic and advanced 2D echo, vascular access, USG-guided central line insertion, needle and tube thoracostomy, obstetric CPR, normal labour management, shoulder reduction, and sling application.

The academic sessions held on March 28 featured expert talks and case discussions on advanced emergency medicine topics, along with paper and poster presentations and the Golden Hour Quiz competition. The conference was attended by Emergency Medicine residents and consultants, physicians, respiratory specialists, anaesthesiologists, ICU residents, MBBS interns, and final-year students. Additional topics included stroke care, communication in the emergency department, toxicology, panel discussions on scope of practice after EM residency, and radiation ethics and consent in children and pregnant patients in trauma settings.
