The Institute of Nursing Sciences and Shri G. H. Patel School of Nursing, a constituent institutions of Bhaikaka University, organised a Farewell Programme on 5th February 2026 to honour the 8th batch of B.Sc. Nursing and the 42nd batch of DGNM students.
The programme was graced by the esteemed Chief Guests, Mr. Mahesh Pathak and Smt Harshida Mahesh Pathak, noted philanthropists and generous donors, along with the Guest of Honour, Mrs. Rekha Macwan (DGNM Batch 1991–1994), who currently serves as the In-charge of the Palliative Care Centre at Shree Krishna Hospital, Karamsad.
Mr. and Mrs. Pathak have established the Dr. Mahesh Pathak Endowment Fund to promote academic excellence among students, generously contributing over ?51 lakhs to support this initiative.
As per institutional policy, Ms. Khushbu Puniya (B.Sc. Nursing) and Ms. Mansi Kapadiya (DGNM) were felicitated as the Best Outgoing Students of their respective programs. The Shrimati Harshitaben Pathak Cash Award was conferred upon them, with each recipient receiving a cash prize of ?10,000 in recognition of their outstanding academic performance.
Principal of The Institute of Nursing Sciences and Shri G. H. Patel School of Nursing, Prof. Shany Thomas wished all students the very best for success and expressed sincere gratitude to the donors.
