DSBCF and SKH, the teaching hospital of BU jointly organized Life-Saving Procedure training

Dr.Shivani Bhatt Charitable Foundation and Shree Krishna Hospital, Karamsad, a teaching hospital of Bhaikaka University jointly organized a training program on “Life-Saving Procedure” on 21st August at Bhikhabhai Auditorium of Bhaikaka University, Karamsad. It was for the civil services personnel and the general public. The objective of this program is to create a forum of stakeholders in society, so as to prepare a trained force to save lives in an emergency, and sensitize society on safety awareness and emergency preparedness.
 
The Chief Guest of the program was MP-Anand District Shri Miteshbhai Patel. While Dr. Subroto Das, Vadodara, and Mr. Rajiaan – DSP, Anand were the Guests of Honor and invited guests. On this occasion Hon. Secretary of Charutar Arogya Mandal - Shri Jagrut Bhatt, Registrar - Dr. Harish Desai, Hon. Secretary Dr. Shivani Bhatt Charitable Foundation Dr. Shailesh Shah, Member Board of Management - CAM, Shri Amit Patel, Medical Superintendent of Shree Krishna Hospital, and Dr. Jitesh Desai were present.
 
A large number of policemen, social workers, and doctors participated.
 
Dr. Subroto Das – Padmshri Winner and India's best-known highway rescue operation - the Lifeline Foundation Founder aims to train lakhs of people who would be instrumental in saving lives in emergencies. He stressed the need to continuously carry out such training. “Safety volunteers created by this mission would be the real angels of health, who would come forward to perform this sacred task and make efforts to save members of the public”.
 
The team of Intensivist of Shree Krishna Hospital Dr.Samir Patel, Dr.Sunil Chhajwani, and Dr.Dhaval Prajapati focused on the emergency medical service and expressed the need to have proper coordination and comprehensiveness in the trauma-handling system. “This process starts from prevention and goes right up to rehabilitation. Providing help during the golden hour is of prime importance. Sensitivity and timely medical assistance are not only important for trauma cases, but also for other medical emergencies like heart attack, stroke, seizure”.
 
Mr. Rajiaan spoke about road safety measures and challenges in maintaining traffic discipline. He spoke of the necessity of safety precautions and urged the public to abide by them.
