Dr. Gauri Trivedi Appointed as the President of Bhaikaka University, Karamsad

Dr. Gauri Trivedi, a distinguished leader with a rich and diverse administrative background, is appointed as the President of Bhaikaka University. She succeeds Shri Atul Patel, who provided strong leadership as the  President of Bhaikaka University since its establishment in 2019. Dr. Trivedi brings extensive experience from her previous roles as a Governing Body member of the university, a long-standing IAS officer, and a seasoned advisor and board member across various sectors.Under Shri Atul Patel's seven-year leadership, Bhaikaka University witnessed significant growth and an effective response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Over 10,000 patients received treatment, and research was encouraged. The Cancer Center gained advanced PET-CT and TrueBeam Linear Accelerator. A modern Cath lab was established at the Cardiac Centre, and modernization of six operation theatres to enhance the surgical capabilities of the hospital and improve patient comfort. Additionally, an advanced Simulation Center was established to enhance medical and paramedical education. The nursing institute is now expanded to accommodate 100 students per batch, and the Amrita Patel Centre for Public Health was launched on September 2, 2023, to enhance public health initiatives.

Dr. Gauri  Trivedi's impressive 22-year career as an IAS officer is complemented by her advisory roles with Sanskardham and board memberships in prominent companies like Adani Total Gas, The Sandesh Group, and Nikhil Adhesives. Her academic credentials include a PhD from ISEC (Bengaluru) & IDS (Mysuru), an M.A. in Political Science and  M.Phil in Soviet Studies from JNU (Delhi), and a PGPPM from IIM Bangalore, providing a robust foundation for her leadership.Dr. Trivedi's expertise in policy, administration, strategy, industry, and management, along with her leadership in Central Public Sector Undertakings CPSUs),highlights her strong strategic skills. Her public service includes top roles like Secretary to Government (Revenue) and Secretary to the Governor of Karnataka. Her corporate experience as VP at Reliance Retail and Director at Sardar Patel Institute of Public Administration (SPIPA-SIRD), Ahmedabad, demonstrates her broad administrative abilities.

A passionate advocate for education, Dr. Trivedi shares her insights at IIM and SPIPA, focusing on governance. Her dedication to academic excellence is clear through her key roles in the governing bodies of NTPC School of Business, Charutar Arogya Mandal, and Bhaikaka University, along with her role at New Age Makers Institute of Technology (NAM:TECH).
