Charutar Arogya Mandal, Karamsad celebrated its 52nd foundation day

The 52nd foundation day of Charutar Arogya Mandal was held on 28th July 2023, to commemorate its establishment. The cultural event was organized from 6.30 pm onwards at the sports ground of Bhaikaka University. The cutouts of Dr. H M Patel and Bhaikaka were placed as a backdrop and the selfie point was created at the venue. Some of the most iconic photos were displayed that signified the growth and achievement since the inception of the Charutar Arogya Mandal.

The function was graced by the dignitaries Shri Atul Patel, (Chairman – Charutar Aroya Mandal), Shri Jagrut Bhatt, (Hon. Secretary – Charutar Arogya Mandal) Dr. Utpala Kharod, (Provost – Bhaikaka University), Dr. Harish Desai, (Registrar – Bhaikaka University), Dr. Jyoti Tiwari (Academic Controller), Dr.Himanshu Pandya (Dean-Pramukh Swami Medical College), Principals of all Education institutes, Dr. Jitesh Desai (Medical Superintendent- Shree Krishna Hospital).

The event also served as an occasion to recognize and reward the best doctors who have shown their excellence in patient care. Eighteen doctors were felicitated as star doctors. Eight employees who completed 25 years of service in this organization were felicitated with Certificates of appreciation and Angvastram.

The doctors, students, staff, and their families took part in various cultural activities and exhibited their talents in solo dance, group dance, song recitation, etc. The feeling of joy and togetherness that permeates such an event ensured total participation. The audience was captivated by the talents of the participants.

Shri Atul Patel greeted all the employees for entering the golden era of healthcare. He said that Charutar Arogya Mandal made gradual progress and increased its facilities. They would soon inaugurate the Amrita Patel Centre for Public Health, he added. The Centre would offer training and capacity-building programmes that would enable and strengthen the capabilities of all cadres of professionals working for public health. Shri Patel said that they would also create the facilities of the True Beam linear Accelerator and PET Scan at the cancer centre. He added that we will start the evening OPD at the privileged centre from 5 pm to 7 pm on 1st August 2023.

Shri Jagrut Bhatt said that Late Dr. HM Patel formed that institute in the year 1972 with the vision of providing comprehensive and compassionate health care to everyone and anyone who would need it. The institute was genuinely a venture of faith, starting with a 136-bed hospital in a place that was once not ideal for the availability of resources and personnel, but was taking gigantic leaps of growth while fighting with all sorts of challenges and hurdles, and was nothing short of a fable. Shree Krishna Hospital is now a NABH-accredited 1000-bed hospital with the facility of cardiac, cancer, bone marrow transplant, and critical care, he added.

He said that Mandal focused on education too, along with health care. The first education institute was started with a nursing college and it is now a prestigious Bhaikaka University imparting health education.
