BU Spreads awareness about the importance of breastfeeding

World Breastfeeding Week is being commemorated (1-7 August ), and it is vital to spread awareness about the importance of education and support for breastfeeding. It’s not a social stigma but a requirement that shapes a child’s physical and mental well-being.

As a part of this celebration Department of Neonatology, Department of Pediatrics, and Department of Community Medicine of Bhaikaka University, Karamsad organized an awareness program at Pediatric OPD of Shree Krishna Hospital, Karamsad and Primary Health Centre -Aanganwadi Karamsad. On this occasion, the nursing staff of Shree Krishna Hospital presented a skit to emphasize breastfeeding and its advantages.

Dr. Utpala Kharod, Provost – BU, Ms. Kuldeep Judge, Chief Nursing Officer, Shree Krishna Hospital Dr. Somashekhar Nimbalkar, Head Department of Neonatology, Dr. Reshma Pujara, Neonatologist, Dr. Utkarsh Shah, Associate Professor, Department of Community Medicine were present during this program.
