BU Organised State-Level Imaging Conference I-CON 2025

A state-level Imaging Conference I-CON 2025 was organized on 1st December 2025 to commemorate World Radiology Day at Bhaikaka University, Karamsad. The Radiography & Medical Imaging Technology discipline of Smt. L. P. Patel Institute of Allied Health Sciences & Technology (LPPIAHST) hosted the conference along with a quiz competition.

 

The event was held in academic collaboration with the Indian Society of Radiographers & Technologists (ISRT)–India and the ISRT–Gujarat State Chapter, with sponsor support from Skanray Technologies Ltd.

 

One of the key highlights of I-CON 2025 was the State-Level Quiz Competition, which saw enthusiastic participation from students and professionals across Gujarat. The conference witnessed an impressive turnout of more than 200 delegates, of whom over 60 percent were students, while the remaining participants comprised working professionals from both private and government institutions.

 

The inaugural session featured valuable institutional and clinical perspectives. Dr. Viral Patel, HOD of Radiodiagnosis, Shree Krishna Hospital, shared insightful remarks on advancements in imaging, while Dr. Jyoti Tiwari, Registrar addressed the gathering with encouraging words that enriched the session.

 

Continuing the momentum, Mr. Mohanlal Bhagwat, President, ISRT–India, and Mr. H. C. Yoganand, Vice-President, ISRT–India, highlighted the significant contributions of ISRT in strengthening the field of Radiotechnology. Their presence, along with dignitaries including Mr. Mahesh Patel (Council Member, ISRT–India), Mr. Karnik Patel (President, ISRT–Gujarat State Chapter), Mr. Anil Patel (Secretary, ISRT–Gujarat State Chapter), Mr. Khodidas Prajapati (Finance Secretary, ISRT–Gujarat State Chapter), and Mr. Ravindra Naik (ISRT West India Zone Coordinator), elevated the academic stature of the event.

 

The scientific sessions featured expert lectures by distinguished speakers. Dr. Shridhar Dave delivered an insightful talk on Photon-Counting CT, while Ms. Shreeni Shah discussed modern radiation safety practices. Mr. Shubham Gupta spoke on the impact of AI-powered radiology workflows, and Mr. Paresh Naik presented innovations in X-ray imaging technology.

 

The conference was organized under the leadership of Patron Dr. Abhay Dharamsi; Chairperson Dr. Sonal Chitroda; Co-Chairperson Dr. Dipal Bhatt; and Convenor Mr. Satish Kumar Jha.
