BU Nursing Departments Celebrate Children’s Day with Community Outreach Activities

The Department of Child Health Nursing, Institute of Nursing Sciences, and Shri G.H. Patel School of Nursing, Bhaikaka University, under the NSS Unit, organized a three-day Children’s Day Celebration from 12th to 14th November 2025. A total of 253 students from Classes 11 and 12 participated in the programme.

Held on the theme “Investing in our children is investing in our future,” the celebration took place across three schools: Sanskruti Higher Secondary School (Porda), Salvation Army School (Anand), and I.B. Patel English Medium School (Anand).

Five faculty members from the Child Health Nursing Department facilitated various community-focused activities using interactive and participatory approaches. Nursing students from Semester V B.Sc. Nursing, Second Year GNM, and the First and Second Year M.Sc. Nursing conducted sessions on career guidance, adolescent health, digital literacy, stress management, prevention of substance abuse, and safe use of technology. Health assessments and recreational activities were also organized.
