BU Hosts State-Level Workshop on Pharmacokinetic Calculations
The Department of Pharmacology at Pramukhswami Medical College, Bhaikaka University, organised the 2nd State-Level Workshop on “Pharmacokinetic Calculations” at the conference room of the Department of Medical Education.
A total of 40 participants, including faculty members and a resource person from across Gujarat, attended the workshop. The event was conducted under the leadership of Dr. Alpa Gor, Head of the Department of Pharmacology and Organising Secretary.
The workshop aimed to strengthen participants’ understanding of basic and advanced pharmacokinetic principles, encourage their application in clinical practice and research, and enhance pharmacokinetic calculation skills. It also fulfilled the academic training requirements mandated by the National Medical Commission (NMC) for MD Pharmacology students.
The scientific programme began with registration, followed by the inaugural session and lamp lighting ceremony, which was attended by Dr. Swapnil Agarwal, Dean of Pramukhswami Medical College, along with the resource person and faculty members. A pre-test was conducted to assess the baseline knowledge of participants.
The highlight of the workshop was an interactive session conducted by Dr. Prashant Parmar, focusing on group learning activities, conceptual clarity, and a case-based approach to pharmacokinetics and applied clinical pharmacology.
