BU establishes BLISS – Centre for Spirituality and Integral Health

Bhaikaka University, Karamsad, inaugurated BLISS – Centre for Spirituality and Integral Health on 21st November 2025. The Centre was unveiled by Dr. Alok Pandey, an internationally renowned authority on Integral Health and Education.

The inaugural program was held in the esteemed presence of Provost Dr. Abhay Dharamsi, heads of constituent institutions, faculty members, invited guests, the core team of the BLISS Centre, and nearly 200 students. The event also witnessed the distinguished presence of noted Italian artist Shri Aghniji.

In his keynote address, Dr. Pandey congratulated Bhaikaka University on this visionary step, describing the Centre as a pioneering initiative unique among medical colleges in India. He highlighted that spirituality—“the timeless essence of healing and the heartbeat of the Indian psyche”—must be meaningfully integrated into mainstream education and healthcare.

A vibrant poster exhibition featuring 25 insightful contributions by students and faculty on the theme Spirituality and Integral Health added depth to the occasion. The three best posters were honoured with certificates. The ceremony also included a serene meditation session conducted by Dr. Samir Bhavsar, creating an atmosphere of inner quietude and reflection. The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks delivered by Dr. Suman Singh.

The convener, Dr. Bhalendru Vaishanv, presented the guiding principles of the Centre to all those present.
