Bhaikaka University Organizes “Muskaan – The Sharing of Joy” Donation Drive
The Women Development Cell and National Service Scheme (NSS) Unit of Bhaikaka University (BU) jointly organized a donation initiative titled “Muskaan – The Sharing of Joy” on 17th October 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Seminar Hall, Amrita Patel Centre for Public Health.
The initiative is aimed to spread happiness and extend support to underprivileged sections of society during the festive season. A total 610 items, which included utensils, clothes, stationery, footwear, bags, and purses — were collected through generous contributions from the staff and students of Bhaikaka University.
Student volunteers from the NSS units of all constituent institutes actively participated in the segregation, display, and distribution process. They assisted and guided visitors in selecting items according to their needs and preferences.
Approximately 125 beneficiaries, including healthcare attendants, Grade IV workers, and construction site labourers were benefited from the drive.
The event was graced by the Provost Dr. Abhay Dharamsi, who appreciated the commendable efforts of the organizing team and encouraged them to continue such humanitarian initiatives in the future with wider outreach and planning. The “Muskaan” initiative beautifully embodied the values of empathy, generosity, and social responsibility that Bhaikaka University stands for.
