Bhaikaka University marks Grand Celebration of 75th Republic Day

Bhaikaka University commemorated the 75th Republic Day of India with a spectacular celebration on Friday, 26th January 2024. Dr. Utpala Kharod (Provost, Bhaikaka University) presided over the function.
 
The event was graced by Chief Guest Capt. Meera Siddhartha Dave, an Indian Army Veteran who unfurled the national flag on the campus of Bhaikaka University and delivered an inspiring address to the gathered audience.
 
Capt. Meera Dave said, “The role of the army is to ensure national security and national unity. But I believe it is not only the role of the army, it is also the role of every person in the nation”.She added, “Today’s youth are being called upon to rise up and make a difference in the world. The correct use of social media has immense potential to make a difference by raising awareness and developing solutions”.
 
The Guest of Honor Shri Siddhartha Dave (Academician and Motivator, Dr. Harish Desai (Registrar, Bhaikaka University), Dr. Jyoti Tiwari (Controller of Academics, Bhaikaka University), Dr. Jitesh Desai (Medical Superintendent, Shree Krishan Hospital), Dr. R. Harihara (Principal, K M Patel Institute of Physiotherapy), Prof. Shailesh Panchal (In-charge - Principal, INS), Dr. Sonal Chitroda (In-charge - Principal, L P Patel Institute of Medical Laboratory Technology and CAM Institute of Allied Health Sciences & Technology) were also present during the occasion.
 
Shri Siddhartha Dave recited a poem and elaborated on the importance of four Vedas, i.e. Rigveda, Yajurveda, Samaveda, and Atharvaveda. He said, “Diversity is there in different religions. Therefore, we should have the same perspective and respect for all religions as only that will lead to universal development”. He stressed, “We should focus on religion for the welfare of human beings (Manav Kalyan ke Liye Dharma)”.
 
25 NSS volunteers of Bhaikaka University showcased their discipline and patriotism with a guard of honour and an impressive march past under the guidance of Kartik Dangodara and Milind Kishori, NSS volunteers of SPU, Anand.
 
The event saw active participation in cultural programs from students & children of university officials/ staff members. Together, they joined in the celebration to pay a heartfelt tribute to the nation.
