Bhaikaka University, Karamsad Commemorates International Women's Day with Vibrant Celebrations

Bhaikaka University, Karamsad, marked the occasion of International Women's Day with fervor and enthusiasm on February 28, 2024. The celebration, organized in collaboration with the Women Development Cell, showcased a myriad of talents and initiatives aimed at empowering and honoring women.

The highlight of the event was the vibrant array of more than 40 exhibition and sale stalls arranged within the university premises. Over 80 participants, including students and staff, exhibited their creativity through art, craft, painting, and culinary delights. The exhibition was inaugurated by Dr. Sirish Srivastava (In-charge Provost, Bhaikaka University).

Dr. Pragya Nair, the Convener of the Women's Development Cell, extended a warm welcome to the guests and provided detailed insights into the exhibition's offerings. Dr. Utpala Kharod, Chairman of the Women Development Cell and Provost of Bhaikaka University, expressed gratitude to all participants for their enthusiastic involvement and encouraged guests to support the vendors. She attributed the success of the program to the unwavering dedication of the Women Development Cell members.

Aligned with the theme of "Inspire Inclusion" for Women's Day 2024, the celebration also featured an awareness initiative spotlighting the Gujarat Government's pioneering service - Seva Abhyam (181) Women's Helpline. The helpline provides free counseling and assistance to women facing issues such as violence and harassment. Representatives from the helpline were present to disseminate information and raise awareness about its services.

The festivities were met with great enthusiasm from students, staff, and members of the public, who thoroughly enjoyed the performances and exhibitions showcasing the talents and achievements of women.
