The Amrita Patel Centre for Public Health (APCPH), Bhaikaka University, organised a workshop titled “AI-Augmented Public Health Professional: Research, Efficiency & Innovation” on 10th January 2026 at the Seminar Hall, APCPH. The workshop aimed to equip participants with foundational skills to effectively integrate Artificial Intelligence (AI) into public health research and professional practice.
Twenty-six participants attended the programme, including undergraduate and postgraduate students, Ph.D. scholars, and faculty members from various health and science disciplines. The workshop commenced with a formal introduction to the objectives of the session, emphasising the integration of traditional public health approaches with modern digital technologies.
The technical sessions were led by Dr. Urvish Joshi, who brings over two decades of professional experience along with advanced training from Johns Hopkins University and IISc Bangalore.
